Market Drayton couple climb aboard their Arriva ‘Love Bus’
Local love birds, Leanne and Paul Domagaski, recently tied the knot with a twist after being given their very own ‘ticket to love’ from Arriva.
The newly-weds, who got married at Wem Registry Office on Tuesday 31st July, certainly had a day to remember after receiving their very own ‘Love Bus’ from the bus company.
The couple received the novel gift after responding to a national appeal by Arriva for couples who got engaged on 14 February this year, to get in touch.
Decked out with wedding decorations and a celebratory hamper for the bride and groom, the bus escorted the wedding party to Edinburgh House in Wem.
Leanne Domagalski said: “When we saw the Love Bus appeal in the paper, we just knew that we had to get involved. Our seven-year old son Jake is absolutely obsessed with buses and we wanted to make his day extra special too.
“Jake was very excited to hear that we had won and when the bus arrived at our house, he ran onto the bus and wouldn’t get off! The bus was decorated perfectly and we will enjoy our hamper of goodies.
“It was a day we will always remember and would like to thank Arriva for making it memorable for everyone!”
Keith Myatt, Communications and Media Relations Manager for Arriva Midlands, said: “We were only too happy to provide Leanne and Paul with their very own wedding bus for the day.
“We know that for many people, the bus holds particular significance in their relationship, whether it’s where they first met their other half or how couples travelled to see each other during their courting days.
“We are committed to providing the best possible service to our customers and were delighted to help make Leanne and Paul’s special day even more memorable.”
