Arriva Yorkshire are offering young passengers a great way to Xscape the boredom this summer. Pupils from Carleton Community High School called into Xscape on Friday to spread the word that young people with a Metro half fare pass or Scholars’ photocard can buy a ticket on the135/136 bus service for just £1 and travel all day on this service.
Under 11’s can also take advantage of this offer if they are accompanied by a full fare-paying adult.

The summer holidays are long and often expensive for families and it should really help our pupils get out and about. "Nigel Featham, managing director for Arriva Yorkshire, said: “This year we’re investing over £12m in new vehicles for Yorkshire, we’re really proud to be able to offer our customers a newer, improved level of service. We hope young people in the area take advantage of the special summer fare and have some great days out”
