Arriva North East Recognised for Putting Passenger First
Arriva North East has been highly commended for delivering outstanding customer service at a top industry awards ceremony.
The bus company was recognised for developing a bespoke bus service at the prestigious 2011 UK Bus Awards on Tuesday 29th November, after being shortlisted for the UK Bus Putting Passengers First Award.
The Putting Passengers First Award rewards excellence, best practice and innovation in the bus service industry. The aim of the award is to promote good customer service and raise the standard for others to follow.
Arriva North East teamed up with Quorum Business Park to provide a dedicated bus service for employees in the area, running at times to suit local shift patterns. The tailor-made service also offers reduced fares for regular passengers.
Nigel Featham, managing director for Arriva North East, said “We are delighted the partnership between Arriva North East and Quorum Business Park has been recognised by industry experts.
“This clearly demonstrates the new service is valued not only by employees at the business park, but also by the wider community as well.”
Quorum Business Park commuter centre manager, Laura Kerry, added: “Being highly commended for this partnership with Arriva at the 2011 UK Bus Awards is a fantastic achievement, and one which we believe is fully deserved.
“This important accolade is great news for everyone connected with the partnership and a fitting way to reward their continued efforts.”
