The kids are alright thanks to staff at Arriva

Arriva has been doing its bit for Pudsey Bear this year, as staff in Milton Keynes raise over £600 for Children In Need.

The final count has been made and the bus company is pleased to announce it has raised a total of £610.28 for the children’s charity.

Bus drivers at Arriva’s Milton Keynes depot swapped their uniform for fancy dress on Friday 18th November, coming into work dressed as comic book heroes, TV stars and other well known icons, in a bid to raise money for this very worthy cause.

Children in Need - Milton Keynes

The team of costume characters got into the spirit of things by carrying collection buckets throughout the fun-filled day, asking the people of Milton Keynes to give generously.

Captain America, Virgil from Thunderbirds and Mr T were rewarded for their efforts, raising an amount that will go a long way towards helping disadvantaged children.

Linsey Frostick, marketing manager for Arriva, said: “Our bus drivers put in a great deal of effort dressing up for Children In Need this year, and we are extremely proud of what they have achieved.

“The staff had great fun spending the day at work in fancy dress, but most importantly it allowed us to raise money for this very worthy cause.

“Raising this kind of figure is particularly impressive given the time of year. This clearly demonstrates the people of Milton Keynes are a generous lot indeed.”
