Red Bull Home Run - Saturday 10th December 2011
Milton Keynes will be host to a huge event on Saturday 10th December to celebrate Red Bull Racing’s F1 Championship winning season. The event will take place on Saturday 10th December along Midsummer Boulevard between Saxon Gate and Grafton Gate. As a result there will be a number of road closures in Central Milton Keynes. The scale of this event means there is likely to be disruption to our services within the whole of the Milton Keynes area.
The main changes on the day will be the stopping arrangement in Elder Gate at the Central Rail Station and that all buses will be using Avebury Boulevard when travelling between the Central Rail Station and The Shopping Centres.
Services 4, 7 and 3 that would normally terminate at the Central Rail Station will terminate at CMK The Point on this day and will not continue to the station. Normal cross town services on Routes 4 and 7 will operate as normal.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend this event, and with normal Christmas shopping traffic in the City Centre, it is likely to be a very busy day. We do expect services across MK to be delayed or disrupted.
