Mr Nosey, are you out there?
Arriva Yorkshire is launching new Mr Men and Little Miss characters on its 268 route Dewsbury to Bradford, and to celebrate they are challenging the people of Yorkshire to find their namesakes.
The now famous Mr Men and Little Miss buses, which commemorate Cleckheaton born creator Roger Hargreaves, were first launched in 2008 and will soon feature a new set of characters from the much loved Mr Men and Little Miss series.
Family favourites
Chloe Leach-O’Connell, marketing and communications manager for Arriva Yorkshire, said: “These vehicles have become so well known in the local area we decided it was time to refresh the characters in order to showcase more of these family favourites. When choosing the new ones we thought it would be fabulous if we could find some of their namesakes right here in Yorkshire to help us launch them. We know that the likelihood of finding a Little Miss Scatterbrain or a Little Miss Sunshine is quite remote, but we’re sure there’s a Little Miss Tidy or a Mr Tall out there somewhere!”
40th anniversary
Bettina Koeckler, SVP of Licensing for Chorion, adds: “Mr Men and Little Miss is all about the winning combination of self-expression and humour. As the brand celebrates its 40th anniversary in Britain this year, the introduction of new characters from Arriva Yorkshire is a great platform to celebrate the Little Miss or Mr. in all of us.”
Arriva Yorkshire is appealing for anyone with the following names to come forward and attend the launch event in December.
In addition the successful namesakes will receive free travel on the 268. If more than one person comes forward with the same name, then one will be selected at random.
Little Miss Sunshine – Little Miss Tidy – Little Miss Birthday – Little Miss Bossy – Little Miss Contrary – Little Miss Dotty – Little Miss Scatterbrain – Mr Cheerful – Mr Impossible – Mr Messy – Mr Nonsense – Mr Nosey – Mr Tall.
