ARRIVA - Boro Best XI

Arriva appeal for Boro's Bext XI

Arriva North East is appealing to football supporters in Middlesbrough to nominate their best ever line-up, following the launch of 11 new buses in the area.

To celebrate these new arrivals, the bus company wants to name each one of them after a Middlesbrough legend and is looking to the public to help come up with the names, past or present. The eleven players who receive the most votes will be honoured by having one of the new buses named after them.

As an added incentive, each person who nominates a player will be automatically entered in to a free prize draw, for the chance to win free travel for two months.Juninho pic
These latest additions to the Arriva fleet represent an investment worth over £1.5 million, and will benefit passengers who travel between Roseworth and Ingleby Barwick, via Stockton-on-Tees on the number 15 service. The new buses, which comprise of 11 single deck buses, are all low floor for easy access and are fitted with the latest engine technology, making them more economical and friendlier to the environment.

John Fozzard, marketing manager for Arriva North East, said: “We know that many of our passengers are passionate about football and we can’t think of a more fitting way to honour our local legends both past and present.

“We hope our customers will really notice the difference with this extra investment and make their journeys with us even more comfortable than before.”
