Arriva North East driver shortlisted for top industry award
An Arriva North East employee has been shortlisted for a top industry award for his outstanding customer service. Paul Ferry was nominated for the Chris Moyes Memorial Award for Top National Bus Driver at the 2011 UK Bus Awards.
The title of ‘Top National Bus Driver’ is awarded to the bus driver who has best demonstrated excellent customer service over the past 12 months. The Blyth driver has worked for Arriva for four and a half years, during which time he has received numerous commendations from his loyal passengers.
John Fozzard, marketing manager for Arriva North East, said: “We are delighted Paul has been shortlisted for this award, and has been recognised for the excellent service he has provided to passengers over the past 12 months.
“Being shortlisted for this award clearly demonstrates that Paul has gone above and beyond what is expected of him and is fully deserving of this nomination. Throughout his time with Arriva, Paul has proved to be a true professional and a great Ambussador for the company.”
Now in its 15th year, the UK Bus Awards aim to encourage and reward outstanding standards of customer service, high quality staff and best practice.
The bus company will now have to wait for the annual Presentation Ceremony on Tuesday 29th November, when the winner will be announced.
