Road closure - Shildon Rail Bridge
On Saturday 17 September and Sunday 18 September the Rail Bridge will be closed at Shildon to allow Rail Enthusiasts to view special train services.
During this closure services will be diverted as follows:-
Services 1/1B to operate via Byerley Road. Middleton Road, Church Street and Main Street to regain normal route at The King William.
Service 5 to operate via Hilsdon Drive and Jubilee Crescent to regain normal route at King William.
It is possible this closure may also apply the following weekend. This closure has been put in place due to health and safety concerns, and is beyond our control, We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause
