It's all about the bus-king in Wakefield
Arriva Yorkshire is offering the people of Wakefield the chance to shine at Wakefield Bus Station this August.
Talented?
We are appealing for local talent, whether it is singing, poetic recital, instrument playing or even budding comedians, to showcase their acts to fellow residents. Each chosen act will be allocated a time slot in which they will get their chance to stand on the Arriva bus-king mat and deliver their talent to the bus passengers of West Yorkshire.
Mary Lowrey, general manager of Arriva's Wakefield depot said "We're holding several events at the bus station in August as part of the 'your buses just got better' initiative. The bus-king morning is going to be great fun, you never know we may unearth the next . . . . . Susan Boyle!"

How to shine?
To apply please email your name, age, contact details, talent, previous experience performing your talent and any additional information that you think may help your application to challenge@arriva.co.uk . Closing date is the 21st July 2011.
The event will take place from 10.00am till 1.00pm on Tuesday 2nd August 2011.
The 'your buses just got better' initiative celebrates the great improvements in service provision over the past year and big investments in vehicle presentation.
