Trinity Walk shopping centre opens in Wakefield
Wakefield walked the walk on Friday 6 May 2011, when thousands of shoppers arrived in the City for the opening of Trinity Walk shopping centre. Glenn Morrisson, Captain of the Wakefield Wildcats, and Wakefield’s own Olympian Martyn Bernard, the UK’s number one high jumper, helped representatives of the development consortium behind the scheme and Cllr Denise Jeffery, deputy leader of Wakefield Council, officially launch the shopping centre.
Trinity Walk is Wakefield’s new 500,000 sq ft shopping centre with over 60 new shops featuring leading high street fashion brands, a new
Debenhams department store and a Sainsbury’s superstore. There are also restaurants and cafés.

Trinity Walk is located directly next to Wakefield bus station on Marsh Way, so avoid those car parking charges and queuing traffic and jump on the bus. There are plenty of fun family activities taking place over the next few weeks, for more information click here.
