Runcorn Busway services 1 and 2
From Sunday 30 January 2011 your 1 and 2 bus services on the Runcorn busway will be operating in a different way. This may affect the way you travel on the services.
The services will run every 10 minutes during the daytime, and each service will change direction at the terminus point (Halton Lea).
For example:
Service 1 running clockwise around the busway will reach Halton Lea, change to a service 2 and then run anti-clockwise around the busway. When service 2 reaches Halton Lea, it will turn around and change back to a 1 service, running clockwise around the busway.
Please note, as the services will no longer run on a continuous loop, passengers should consider the direction of travel and the most appropriate bus to catch to reach their destination.
As fuel and other costs are rising, this change in operation will allow us to operate more efficiently and maintain a frequent level of service on the busway. If you require any further information on this change, please contact our customer services team who will be happy to help.
