Changes to services in the East Cleveland area
Routes 5/5A/X5 Middlesbrough - Whitby
The daytime timetable has been revised to give two service 5 buses per hour via North Ormesby Market Place and Skelton, Hollybush Estate and finishing at Brotton, Green Tree (no longer extending via Skinningrove to Loftus) plus two Express X5 per hour via Loftus to Whitby. Connections are now available at North Skelton between X3 and X5 to provide a new Redcar to Whitby link with a through fare facility. Three new stops have been added to limited stop X5 - Cargo Fleet Lane/College Road, Cargo Fleet lane/Greenway and Prior Purseglove College in Guisborough. Evening and Sunday 5a journeys are similar to the current t/table.
Routes 48/48a (new) Redcar - Saltburn / Lingdale
Alternate journeys will run as new 48a and extend from Redcar to Dormanstown via Redcar Lane and Roseberry Road to serve Redcar Hospital / Health Centre.
Route 63 Middlesbrough - Redcar
The main daytime Sunday frequency has been increased to every 20 minutes (previously half hourly) and there are minor changes to the weekday and Saturday timetable.
Routes X3/X4 Middlesbrough - Redcar - Skelton/Easington
New timetables apply. X4 will now run twice hourly to Easington alternately serving either Skinningrove (replacing route 5) or Liverton Mines. For new X3 to X5 connection details at North Skelton see route 5 above.
