Bus driver of the year 2012
The Arriva Yorkshire round of the Bus Driver of the Year competition took place on 1st July and produced a very worthy winner in Simon Appleyard from
Heckmondwike depot. Chris Wilson also from Heckmondwike depot came second, with Dave Wood from Dewsbury depot taking third
place.
Simon, Chris and Dave will represent Arriva Yorkshire in the UK Bus Driver of the Year National Final in Blackpool on 9th September 2012.
A big thank you goes out to all those who marshalled and assisted on the day.
